I love Kiddy Grade - the second version of Eclair is my favourite, also the slightly shoujo ai theme between Eclair and Lumiere (as well as Lumiere and Tweedle Dee) is a nice touch.

The series is a slow burner, but worth sticking with right till the end.

I'm currently writing my first fan fic at the moment (when I'm not working) and its about Elfen Lied.

i don't do fan art as even though I do have some artistic ability, I need practice to get back to as good as once was and also I need to be motivated. Also that and I lack a scanner too

Thats what I have been feeling too. The first two were great but ever since then it seems to have lost its focus and its been okay but I expected more. I hope you are right and it picks up at the end.

I disagree with how all three are lumped together like this. They aren't the same and so should be treated individually. Sure they have a few similiar elements, bot thats where the similarity ends.

I don't mind some hentai as long as it has a plot and is sometimes funny - the same goes for ecchi too. Its just a form of anime really, so its easy to see the difference between reality and fantasy. But in the end its down to the individual - if you want to watch it - go for it. If you don't, then don't! Does yuri/shoujo ai count too? As I am into yuri/shoujo ai as well.

I try and avoid porn, it just seems to fake to me. Also its incredibly limited, I know its porn, what do I expect - just more often than not its get the 'task' done and thats it. Maybe I am being superficial - but most porn stars aren't that attractive and its a turn off.

I have tried it once even thoughh I am not a fan of wine (I prefer spirits) I did like it, but it wasn't that great a quality Sake. It didn't taste bad just I found it hard to drink and so I never finished the bottle.

When I know a good place to get decent Sake in the UK, I'll try it again.

The edits weren't big changes - just some of the violence was removed so it was suitable for television thats all. There were probably only a few minutes removed from the whole series. Its like blink and you'll miss the cuts.

The only band I know, that none of my friends know is FlyLeaf. They are a rock band (a little) similiar to Lacuna Coil and the like. I really like the lead singer's voice - its very beautiful and stirring.

So far its been dubbed only into English, and its only been released in America - Europe hasn't had a release date yet. But it will happen apparently as the BBFC has passed it with no cuts. So when the UK gets a release chances are so will the rest of Europe.

I agree with you completely. People on another forum I use (gaiaonline, of which I run the Elfen Lied Guild) pretty much say - I've only seen the first dvd, and the blood/violence is cool etc. And I do try and say there is a more deeper side to the series (and the last couple of episodes almost made me cry) - but they never seem to listen.

But then, considering the number of times I've see Elfen Lied called Hentai on Gaia. I don't worry too much, I just hope they learn that its not all about the violence.

EDIT: The post after this pretty much highlights what I deal with on Gaia - its all about the blood (according to them) and its the first time I have seen 'Nyu' called 'Nya'

Its already available on dvd (as I said in my last post in this thread, along with the release date on vol 3)

The dub is bad, but the editting isn't - the fan subs were cut for Japanese television. While the dvds have gone uncut and with nothing removed, so you at least don't have to worry about that.

The understanding couple. You two have a mutual understanding of each other. You know the high and low points of your partner's abilities and so you try not to push them and the same for the way they act towards you. The more you understand the more stable a relationship.

I can name many better games than Resident Evil 4 that are on the Gamecube. Tales of Symphonia, Beyond Good and Evil, Timesplitters 2, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Soul Calibur 2 (I know there are more but I am a little too tired from work to remember them all.)

Not everyone likes the same types of games - so saying that you think its best the best game ever for the GC doesn't mean everyone has to agree.

Adverts are made and printed before the game is even finished, so unless they can see into the future - there is no way they could know that.

And as for Mega Man Battle Network, I haven't heard of it before so I can't really say but I wouldn't want lots of them (Mario Party would have been a better example)

I agree that games have to change to persevere - but RE4 wasn't a good change. It was too many ideas put into a poorly thought out game, maybe if they refined it a lot then they could have had a winner.

Sure zombies may have bored most people by now, but the enemies of RE4 are hardly a suitable replacement. They are noisy, obvious and too easy to fool and outrun. And when they died - they stayed dead. At least in the original Resident Evil there was the option of having Crimson Heads around if you failed to kill the sombies in the correct way.

And if we didn't have open minds, do you think we would have really played the game in the first place to see if it was any good? Chances are we would have stuck with the original and not bothered to try RE4 if we didn't have open minds.
